Why Keep Your Firmware Updated
Motherboard BIOS/UEFI firmware is essential for hardware initialization and CPU compatibility. Updates often include microcode patches for security vulnerabilities, support for newer processors and memory, and stability improvements. Always use a UPS or ensure stable power during BIOS updates — an interrupted flash can render the board unbootable.
